Always a local favorite, Susanne H. Brown is also a national and regional award-winning artist.  Her art hangs in many places throughout the world.

For over 40 years, Susanne has studied art and shared her talent with others.  Her interest in art began as a child, when her family made frequent trips to New York City to visit museums and art galleries.

My aunt a  professional artist, would take me out plein air painting while she visited my home on Long Island Sound.  "Susanne tells us. "The beauty of the water and trees were picture perfect.

Today, Susanne Continues to update her knowledge with lectures and workshops given by many prominent local and international artists.  She shares that knowledge by teaching watercolor painting at the Art League of Fort Myers and other venues.

As generous as she is talented, Susanne  regularly donates paintings to several local charities for fund raising each year.

Susanne enjoys working with  many water medias  including acrylics, ink and collage, but her primary medium is watercolor.  Her paintings reflect her love of everything from flowers to landscapes to abstracts.

Currently living in Ft. Myers, Susanne says,"Florida,with the beaches, palm trees and beautiful days, I am continually inspired to paint as I was as a child."

Her work is on public display at Art League of Fort Myers, Fort Myers Beach Art. Assoc..The Sanibel Captiva Art League.
She has been represented in The Coconut Point Art Gallery, Julia Art in Matlacha, Harbour View Gallery in Cape Harbour and was the featured artist at the Morgan House in the Downtown River District. 

In addition to her memberships in several local art leagues, Susanne is also a member of the Florida Watercolor Society, The International Society of Acrylic Painters-FL. and the South West Art Council.
